This is a casual survey that I started in October of 2008 to get an indication of which direction the HD market is moving.  The old freelance paradigm of buying a Betacam SP camera and making a living is gone for good.  With DVCPRO-HD, XDCAM, HDCAM, P2 and HDV now competing it may be feasible to buy one of each, but certainly not desirable.  I am hoping to get a sense what different sectors of the production community are planning and doing about their format choices.  It is OK not to leave contact information, but I would like to get an idea of your decisions and/ or thinking and type of programs you create. 

  Also, I was looking for input on services that producers are now considering or expecting in the HD world... better lighting (always!), makeup, SD window dubs, audio files for transcriptions... share them with me if you have time.
